To Blog Or Not To Blog
After a year of hearing my mother in law brag about blip, I've been contemplating whether or not to start blogging, sharing my thoughts, personal feelings, photo's that are dear to me.
To me photo's are very personal, not just something you take to show people what you're doing or capture what you see. They're an insight into your life. In that photo, in that moment, is a memory of how you felt at the time, how you are expressing yourself behind the lens and there is a story behind each and every one that can bring back any emotion from that memory. For Example;
This photo shows me, 18 year old Mary Keevers, from a beautiful town south of the Gold Coast on the night of my wedding with my new husband, Adam Keevers.
This photo brings back a happy feeling remembering an amazing day in my life but also means so much more. 4 weeks before we were due to be wed on the 8th of August 2015, I was 25 weeks pregnant with our perfect son Samuel Keevers when he passed away and I spent 12 hours in labour giving birth to our Angel who was born sleeping. That day was the hardest and most sad day of our lives and we knew we would forever be changed. This day was also the day I fell more in love with my Husband than I ever could. This day was the day I realised how grateful I really am of the man in this photograph. Our wedding was the best day of my life but also very emotional, its hard to be happy when your world comes crumbling down like ours did just 4 weeks before this moment. But this photo reminds me how grateful I am and how much I do have to be happy for.
Life can be cruel but so beautiful in so many ways. So instead of asking WHY? why did this happen to us? why does it have to be this way?
We say THANKYOU, Thankyou for this life, Thankyou for the times our son made us the happiest parents in the world. And Thankyou for each other. Thankyou for the ability to capture our memories so we can look back when we are starting to lose our way and remember how we got here <3
