Rainy Day

It rained all day today!
And I spent most of it dashing about in a t-shirt; with daughters in Summer dresses; wearing sandals!
I need to mentally readjust to the fact that Autumn is coming!!
After dropping the Little Misses off I went to Looby Lu's with Mrs K and had a lovely hour setting the world to rights and drinking delicious tea. We were bemoaning the amount of homework that has arrived with Year 3 and the unfairness of being blamed and disliked by unwilling children!!
They're so young to have so much to do at home :-(
Although we did agree that as we have to get a calculator out for the simplest of sums don't know our times tables as thoroughly as we might maybe it isn't a bad thing to start on the important basics a little earlier!
From there I went to Milton Keynes to return my boots finally, find another pair, and wrestle and pummel myself into some new trusses Shapewear.
As Operation Lose 10 Pounds looks to be grinding to a bit of a halt I have decided that I need to take firm control of the situation.
Just getting the bloody things on and off probably lost me a couple of pounds!!!!!
So it wasn't the most successful expedition ever!
Home for a well earned cup of tea before heading to get the Little Misses for gymnastics.
While Miss E was in there Miss L and I had another lovely hour in the car listing to The Famous Five, doing her reading and spellings, lowering the seat and letting her slide down the back of it, cuddling, playing with each other's hair, taking pictures of the rain on the window and generally having a lovely time.
We drove through the monsoon and met Mr K at McDonalds. He'd come as a surprise but our OCD children were upset that their drive through routine had been altered.
They got over it and enjoyed their Happy Meals.
Mr K enjoyed his Big Mac meal.
I drank my tea.
The Little Misses went in Mr K's car and I went to the gym before heading home.
Great British Bake Off and bed.
