Smoke and Cheese Day

We moseyed up to Missoula under a leaden sky to explore the Smoke Jumpers Center, which was closed for the season....drat! Does that stop GlassRoad and I???? Naaaay! *See GlassRoad's entry* 
Pictured is the venerable DC-3 used as the workhorse plane to get the jumpers up in the air. In extras are the plane's cockpit and the full outfit and gear the jumpers wear and carry....85 lbs of gear strapped to the jumper and a 100 lb. box of food and water that is dropped near their landing spot. GR's blip has some wonderful pix of the parachutes, etc.
Tonight, I made lasagna! Weather cold and dreary.
