Goodbye To Wasps

It became apparent that work could not continue with an active wasp nest in the way so, regretfully, Mr Flum called in the experts to kill the beasties. Just before lunch the suitably-attired chap from Menco pumped insecticide into their front door. By teatime all activity has ceased.
We understand that those that nested last year in our bird box were Wood Wasps, whereas today's were Common Wasps, which makes me feel just a little better.
