IN TOWN

Early tutorial then to Glasgow to meet a lovely friend for a long lunch and a great conversation.  The wonderful weather would normally make me long to be back in the country, but today it seemed the right place to be, a year after the referendum.  To walk those streets and linger in those squares where the electorate suddenly found its voice seemed so appropriate.  Whatever you feel about independence (one year on and even after the Corbyn win I remain firmly in favour) it would be hard not to be glad that the people found their voice.  I don't believe this  genie will willingly go back in the bottle.
