Ready for her close up

My colleague Veronica finally retires.
We had a presentation and tea party for her with many old colleagues and family around her. This was her getting her press photos taken.
( The Daily Mail no less.)

She has 50, yes 50 years of working and caring behind her.

Many babies, mums, patients and colleagues have had the benifit of her experience and hollistic approach. She has dealt with generations upon generations of new families. She is a true role model.

She phoned me tonight to thank me for the cake and the painting. She had a wonderful day and hopes to keep doing the odd shift. I don't think she will ever leave completely, so we won't miss her. She has too much knowledge to allow it to be lost completely.
