Bridewell
I have been so wrapped up in my preparations for tomorrow that I almost forgot to blip!
I took this photo earlier today, of the narrow alleyway that runs between the side of the Museum of Norwich (used to be the Bridewell Museum) & the side of St Andrew's Church, and directly opposite the entrance to my offices. The reason for my photo? This is the first time I have ever seen this view without at least one and more often 2 work men's vans parked here.
I haven't time to do the research, but this is a very interesting and old building. Once a prison, it really does now hold a full history of Norwich. I recommend it; I took Mollie & Henry a few years ago, now I need to go back. This flint work is the flattest and finest flint wall for many miles; I can't remember how many!
I sat in the office while the heavens opened, praying it would ease up before my dash for the bus! I ended up arriving home just after Jon & Mollie had got in. My parents had also just pulled up next door all ready for the 1940's too.
I've found my seamed stockings, my dress is washed & ironed and my ration book, fur stole and gas mask have all been located.
Hoping for some sun on The Poppy Line tomorrow :-)
