A long overdue visit to Binning Wood. Preceded by an early start to drop her at the airport for a couple of days in Belfast with an old friend, it was into the Friday thing - this week instead of the allotment I managed some overtime whilst they were being educated.

Then out to see Val, Cian and Maddie; Val had her 20 week scan on the morning and could tell us Cian is having a baby brother in February. We pottered about picking blackberries, throwing sticks and balls for Maddie, playing in the dens in middle of the wood, some muddy puddles.
All good. We came home with bounty too - apples from the tree to go with the blackberries for a crumble and a fistful of beetroot, too. That'll be Sunday's late supper sorted, then!

Then home for dinner and everyone was sharp to bed after the early start
