Culture Night

A hard day's work on the van (see extra) - it has been gutted; his hands and fingers are ripped, burnt and raw! Now he has to put it all back how he wants it!
It was Culture Night here and things were erupting all over the country. I went into Bantry (stopping to blip amazing skies) to hear a talk about Fairies in the Landscape. A suitably Gothic young woman, with a doctorate in Folklore and impressive eye make up, delivered an interesting lecture. Irish fairies are very different to English and other species, They live in a parallel world and have to be treated with great respect for fear of mischief - swopping children, making milk go bad, turning a landscape inside out. And never go into a ringfort on your own!
