Riverlog 2012 - Fennel Creek Restoration

Another great day in the PacNW. Fennel Creek is a tributary to the Puyallup river in Pierce County that is well utilized by many different species of salmon. The lower reaches have been impacted by past land use practices and development such as the construction of levies and push-up dikes, removal of large wood and debris, and high sediment loads that have reduced habitat complexity. Hopefully with a little bit of help we can nudge the creek in the right direction...
