I'd trained in Atlantis which is about an hour north of Cape Town, and already the flowers were spectacular.   To really see the vast expanse of flowers one has to drove much further north to namaqualand.  I had to get back to work, and really loved seeing the masses of lilies and daisies along the road.  It was blowing 10 gales so quite difficult to photograph flowers which danced this way and that.
