In Court
We popped into town to have a look at the Trades House for Doors Open Day and then Semi-Q and I headed down to the Sheriff Court for a visit. It was fascinating to visit the courts. I was saddened to find out that we have a court purely for matters of domestic abuse which is always very busy.
A visit to the holding cells was interesting but depressing - up to 6 'prisoners' are held in each tiny cell.
This photo was taken in the Petition Court which sees every single criminal case in Glasgow and is not open to the public. A decision is made here as to where the case will be dealt with - another court, High Court or Sheriff Court etc.
Next we saw the prison bus...Semi-Q was slightly concerned when the custody officer decided to demonstrate the handcuffs on her.
Glasgow was sooooo busy this afternoon!
