The sacred urge to play...
....this weekend they come together again, to play, to marvel, to inspire, to share....I will never forget the weekend I had last September on the Spring Equinox; some amazing people who inspired us to be more aware of nature and all it does to the soul, the heart, the mind, the children we work with.
This photo reminded me of that weekend and the get together they have again. Anyway, not quite the last leave on the tree, but certainly one of the last ones to go. It used to made me feel sad when all leaves would trip of the trees in Holland. The grey days to come and then the cold, bbbrrrrrr.
Now I look at the last leaves on some of the trees (as many in New Zealand are evergreen) and feel excited about the buds being there for Spring to pop open and start all over again. Someone once wrote about the colourfulness and grace with which leaves spent their last days before 'recycling' back into the dirt and becoming part of the tree in a different way. Then I look at me, and others and wonderwhy do we people choose to become 'grey' and colourless in our old days? Trying to blend in before we turn to dirt?
Now I need a photo to proof me wrong and find a colourful oldie goldie!
I stop now, as I notice the rambling on has taken over :)
