Tardy cherry blossom

Last Sunday the Cherry Blossom Festival at the park was postponed, because the blossom was only in bud.  

This Sunday once again preparations were made - Japanese drum group to perform, food prepared - but alas, the weather let everyone down.  It rained.  This time it is cancelled.

But by late afternoon the rain was gone, and it was a pretty picture, even though the blossom is still to come out fully.  Only a handful of people in attendance.

I'm sure the elusive blossom will show its hand in the next week or two!
