As good as it gets

The first two hours of my outing from Loch Ossian YH to Dalwhinnie were wonderful: beautiful views and windless, with delightful running on springy moss and grass. Hard to choose the best photo: this is from the hostel just before I Ieft, two others are extras.

Then the pretty mist on the lochs and moors rose and became clag on the hills and the temperature inversion reversed. So it was back to the satisfaction of navigating on complex trackless terrain, reaching summits and covering large distances.
