Early Autumn Sunlight

The weather forecast didn't predict we would have any sun at all here today. As it happened, the sun broke through a couple of times. The first time, I missed it: by the time I got out there with my camera, it was gone. The second time was more long lasting, and I was able to catch the light on the trees looking down the valley, inviting comparison with roughly the same view captured in the morning mist almost exactly six months previously.
