Church Fenton Village Hall

Been to an Art Exhibition today by Sherburn-in-Elmet Art Club who are celebrating their 40th Anniversary. We used to be members a few years ago and were on the committee, but circumstances changed for us and we stopped going, then some time later we started a group in Kippax so we go to that now, but we still go every year to their exhibition to meet and chat with old friends. My oldest friend Wendy still goes, she was the one who got us to go in the first place. We have been friends for 63 years, we were born 23 days apart, we've  had our ups and downs, falling out and back in, spent schooldays together, teenage years and parties, had holidays together, don't see each other as much now as we should but keep in touch by letter, yes old fashioned snail mail and an occasional phone call, and are still very good friends.

Been watching the Rugby, been some good games loved it when Japan won yesterday they deserved to win they fought hard. Wales walked it this afternoon. Funny I can't stand football but I love to watch the Rugby and my Auntie Dorothy was the same in her younger days she followed the Leeds Rugby lads all over and then watched it on TV as she got older.

Another lovely day for the time of year.
