Stag Beetle Sculpture

Trying to find a suitable spot to take out the camera was a bit of test today. It's pouing down and even a couple of takes of this sculpture meant wiping down the camera when I got home.

When it was first completed, the sculptor had blackened it by burning the wood. Obviously it has now weathered and is starting to fade. But with the rainwater, you can now see the beautiful wood grain.
