Merle and Hetty

Along with Queenie and Cassie.  A distinct lack of Blipfoto in my mind this week as my mind has been elsewhere - chickens to be precise!  Four one year olds on their way to slaughter. They have so little feathers that from the back that look like chickens you would see on a shelf in a meat shop. (This was day three.) The poor things came packed in boxes and it was deathly silent for a while then one piped up and looked at me through a hole in the basket - Queenie is turning into quite a character. They are so funny and quite affectionate. Anything that moves is pecked - spider this morning and wasp for lunch. They will eat slugs, your breakfast, the eyelets on my shoes have come in for quite a battering too.
Yan is excellent with them, wanders amongst them and is generally chilled. They all tried to sit on her back yesterday. `if she doesn't like it then she just goes away until they have gone .  they are already looking loads better. I shall never view a parsons nose with the same feelings again.

More chicken chat this week folks.
