Weeping for Autumn!

This lovely Cercidiphyllium japonicum or Katsura is at its very best at this time of the year. The leaves are heart-shaped and only as they begin to fade and die they give off the most amazing scent - burnt caramel! As visitors walk up the path you see them stop and stare around, wondering where that unusual, sweet smell comes from and never believe it is this weeping tree!
