Overdue But Nearly There

The issuers of the Tower Poppies believe that around 10% of those sold are irreparably damaged, and that a further 15% damaged.

Those that have them will know that the ceramic 'flower' is held in position on the 'stem' by rubber washers. These washers can perish outdoors due to the weather (constantly heating up - cooling down) and indoors over a longer period of time.

To overcome this I threaded the 'stem' and have a nut and washer each side holding the rubber in place (you can see the washer (painted red) in the photo) but I believe super glue works equally as well.

It is finally on display in a temporary vase whilst Clare and I decide on the final arrangement.
