Joanna and I were at a needle felting workshop down in Cirencester with the lovely Penny Badger and what fun we had!

Surprisingly simple and flexible in that all you have to do is repeatedly stick a special needle into your pile of wool - and not your finger! - which then "knits" together - the more you do this the tighter and harder the wool gets or you can leave it a bit more loose depending on the effect you want.

Took some iphone photos of Fred during his construction however here he is in all his finished glory with Joanna putting the finishing touches to her teddy bear in the background.

Definitely will be going back again - wall hangings next hopefully!

And I've come home with some more wool and a needle to make a mini Fred too!
