Islay Sunset
I spent a long but very useful day on Jura and Islay as part of the Scottish Parliament's Rural Affairs Committee , speaking to lots of people about the Land Reform Bill.
We were due to leave on the Loganair/Flybe plane to Glasgow at 6.20 pm but it was delayed , with no explanation given. This seems to be happening to lots of Loganair flights across the network at present and all the Islay services are suffering.
We eventually got away around 8.30 pm but just before that I took a walk alongside the airport fence to watch a spectacular sunset over the island.
I got to the flat in Edinburgh about 10.30 pm and am now preparing to participate in three Parliamentary committee meetings , make two speeches in debates and deliver a welcome to a reception , all before I set out to return to Argyll some time on Thursday evening.
