The 1st sunflower

After planting a whole packet, this is the first and biggest of them to flower. As summer is nearly over, it may be the best I can expect.

Well I worked an 8 1/2 hour shift yesterday and was on call. Not too pleased when the phone went at 00:57hrs.

Off I went to assist two catchers and then get the mitts on for one myself. After my course last week I put a lot of what I had learned into practice and it really helped.......I think. It wasn't uncomplicated, but a lot better than it could have been. After 31 years you can teach an old dog new tricks after all.
