The Case of the Yodelling Cat

Over the last week or so, I have been woken in the early hours of the morning by Milkshake  yowling very loudly ...

She yowls in the mornings and evenings too (usually when she can't see me) ...

She's a cat who's in her twilight years (She's 18) and she sleeps for the majority of the day. Her appetite is good and she drinks when she needs to ...

I first thought that she might be in pain, but she doesn't object to being picked up and cuddled ...

There have been changes to the composition of the household. Could this have unsettled her?

Could it be a form of dementia or mental illness?

Could it be a form of cat yodelling? Is she trying to entertain me at 3 in the morning?
