The Dying Of The Light
Another fantastic but tiring day travelling down the Amalfi Coast. It was beautiful, Ravello was gorgeous and at long last I've seen the view from the Rufolo Villa gardens looking out to sea, the famous shot which is in all the guide books. LooseCanon has blipped it beautifully.
We've noticed that whenever there's a good sunset, which seems to be most nights, lots of people come to see it from the terrace outside our hotel as it's such a perfect place, for a sundowner and to take photos. Tonight's view was spoiled however by a dirty great big cruise ship moored up in the bay just in line with the setting sun, which set with great dramatic colour tonight. This is a shot of the Island of Ischia in the Bay of Naples with the last bit of daylight after the sun had disappeared. I liked the curved wake left by this boat.
Extra is of Nikonabike ( left) and LooseCanon walking down one of the narrow streets near the hotel this evening.
