"Evening Stillness"

Although it has rained most of the day it finally decided to stop. We now have one of these very still evenings, not a breath of wind but wonderfully clear. There is a kind of sweet smell in the air. Lupins as far as you can see, hidden amongst all this are several types of Orchid and many types of wildflowers. Along many of our smaller side road just now there are great streaches of pink flowers which reach well into the woods forming great mats of colour. I had a bit of a problem trying to identify them but finally decided it was "Pink Purlain"..
