Ramblings from Zambia....

Main street...Wenya!

Left early this morning for the challenging drive from Chitepa to Wenya. The road is dirt and extremely sandy and very mountainous in places so it is like driving on ice when the sand is deep.  Thankfully we did not get stuck but I was very grateful to arrive there!  The car was covered in red dirt as were we!!  This is the main street in Wenya.

We started the morning with a teaching session and then after lunch I was conducting interviews as we are looking for new ECD trainers.  We found a young man who I hope will be very good in the job.  The ECD trainers have to monitor our ECD centres in the Presbytery they come from - this one is particularly challenging as there is no public transport due to the state of the roads, so its either walk, use a pushbike or if you are lucky and have money, get a matola (back of a pick up truck)!

In the afternoon we went for a walk and I came back orange - covered in dust!  It was good to have a bucket bath and go to bed!
