I got a lie-in today! YAY!!!!

Today, we visited the Butterfly Garden which is part of Miracle Garden. I had no idea that it was open all year long (unlike Miracle Garden which is seasonal), but I suppose when I think about it, with butterflies being indoors in air-conditioning, there's no reason to close it in the summer.

Anyway, 5 of us went in my limo Volvo which is very spacious in the back. G, SweetArt and Marilyn were playing corners and being quite childlike asking "Are we there yet?"

I have to say - the little "exhibition" leading into the enclosure was interesting, but it was a real WOW experience seeing the butterflies. SO MANY large ones, with beautiful colours and patterns. It was much larger than I imagined and John even said it exceeded his expectations. Definitely a place to go back to... with my DSLR! I could/should have done a collage, but this single simple shot won the blip choice today.

Lunch at Carluccio's Dubai Mall as we needed to go up to the Nokia/Microsoft store to get a phone fixed. They couldn't help so it was back to the store where it was purchased. It got sorted but took a bit long; and then driving home, talking about what we were going to do tomorrow (Afternoon Tea in RAK) and I said the car really ought to be washed for a long drive. Discovered that John & Marilyn had never been through a car wash, so all five of us did that!

And then we had a quiet evening setting up phones and projecting pictures from them on the new TV (that was awesome) whilst SweetArt was out dining with friends at The Boardwalk!! It was nice to be at home for a change!
