Apple

I thought I'd continue my somewhat gory apple topic today with a much prettier picture than I took on the last 2 days. The apples on our tree now look ready to pick, so provided we have some fine weather in the next day or two (and the forecast is encouraging) I'll be getting round to picking them.

I don't know what variety these apples are - the tree was here long before we came. They're definitely cooking apples as they're not nice to eat raw but do taste yummy when cooked with a bit of sugar.
