Skinflats and The Ochils.

Sunday saw the last Summer Spokes Ride, which goes around the Firth of Forth.. Edinburgh to the Forth Road Bridge, Limekilns, Culross, Kincardine, Clackmannanshire Bridge, Grangemouth, Kelpies, Helix Park, Union Canal, Linlithgow, Winchburgh, Edinburgh.

Just over the Clackmannanshire Bridge, the route takes us through the Skinflats, land reclaimed from the Firth of Forth in the same way the Fens were in East England from the North Sea. The Skinflats are much smaller in scale though. The Ochil Hills behind loom large here. You wouldn't think that a body of water sits between us and the hills.
