Hum Reflections
We left the villa before 10am for a two hour journey through Slovenia to Trieste, Italy. I drove one car containing Mrs BB, Jez and his girlfriend (both 23yrs) whilst his brother, James drove the other carand passangers. We stopped at the last petrol station before the border to buy car visas (120 kuna/£12) to enter Slovenia.
We spent about four hours in Trieste which was a large city and not a place I'd rush back! We enjoyed the drive over the mountains through passport control.
On the way back we stopped off at Hum, Croatia, as we were advised to do by the owner of the vinyard we visited. It is medieval and the smallest town in the world. I took some nice pictures but nothing you couldn't see on google.
The blip picture is of our friend James. We met him and his then girlfriend Anna in Mauritius when they were staying at the same hotel. We helped him out of a situation when preparations to propose to Anna fell through. Ever since they have kept in touch. They are from Hull but he had his stag do in Cardiff so that I could go, invited us to the wedding, and now invited us to stay with them and friends at the Croatian villa. They have also spent the weekend with us ay our home.
Now they have a baby girl called Talulah, about 10 months, and the blip picture is of James and the baby with their reflection in a bus window in the car park at Hum.
Reflections in a window and a reflection on a friendship.
