Wild Flowers and Wild Seas

Two photographer friends and I drove to Rarangi Beach this afternoon. There were huge waves crashing onto the shingle shores and masses of foam left on the sands after the high tides. When we walked up and over the track to Monkey Bay the air was filled with a lovely fragrance. There, on the sides of the hill above the seas below, were growing wild freesias. A beautiful serene sight in contrast with today's raging seas.
