Bookworm

I went to bed late, sitting on the balcony till about 2 with a couple of beers and a book.

Luckily Olivia did not wake either during the night, or early.

She spent the morning playing.  I spent it tidying and unpacking. Discovered my work password has expired.  Probably no bad thing.

At lunchtime there was much excitement when her daddy got home from Singapore for the week-end.  it's a public holiday today.  Eid al- Adha.  

There was very little haze, unlike Singapore, and the sun came out.  Olivia and I spent about an hour in the pool with the water pistol and later other kids, and dads.  Her dad didn't make it down.

After a quick Skype to #2 son, query about Capetown Backpackers in 2010, we were off down to get food for the meal - spag bolog with Aussie mince. #1 son managed to find a bottle of Sangiovese.  It went down very well.

Despite sleeping so much yesterday and a couple of hours this morning, Olivia was exhausted and in bed before 8, a first.  

This is her this morning, at breakfast time, looking very solemn.
