Outback Eggs!

I'm a bit of a fan of Faberge and bought this book many years ago in the US after seeing the Faberge exhibition at the Met.   I’m about to loan it to a friend of mine who recently saw the movie “Faberge: A Life of its own”, that tells the fascinating story behind this prestigious name. 
 
A family member gave me the little egg ornament on the left of the image, which she found in a junk-shop.  It’s a beautifully hand painted Emu Egg with some intricate homemade decoration, she believed it looked a bit Faberge-esq and thought of me!...Guess it's the nearest I'll ever come to owning one!
