Eid

Eid has come round again.

This morning the children went with various friends around the neighborhood collecting chocolates and money and J went with the men. They had to avoid the gutters running with blood from the slaughtered sheep etc. Then loads of children gatecrashed our house to play.

Since then we've done 8 visits, at each one we've been fed these kardeh (pastries filled with nuts or dates) and other sugary food. The sight of them makes me feel sick now!
