The State Flower of Colorado

I was lucky enough to see two of these still flowering outside the Grand Mesa National Forest information centre.  The extra is of the Book Cliffs which are a very impressive feature as you leave the city of Grand Junction, Colorado.  They stretch 300 kms according to Mr. Wiki and get this they are sandstone from the Cretaceous period.  I thought you should see that Colorado isn't just yellow Aspens but we did see more of them today.
