FINAL CRICKET MATCH OF THE SEASON
I know it’s Flower Friday and I don't usually miss this challenge, but I couldn’t resist taking this photograph of Mr. HCB on the left, and his good friend, Keith, just before they left to watch their final day of the season. I know it’s not a brilliant shot, but they were anxious to go and I was in my pink robe and slippers, so I didn’t want to mess around too much - the neighbours are used to me but I think it’s probably Keith’s first time of seeing me like this!
Apparently, so Mr. HCB tells me, it has been a good match - and could go either way - but of course, we are hoping that Gloucester Gladiators triumph over the Welsh Dragons, also known as Glamorgan.
We mustn’t forget either that Gloucester beat Surrey last Saturday in an exciting and nail-biting game in the Royal London One Day Cup at Lord’s. Mr. HCB and Keith didn’t go to this, but we watched it on the television and even I was on the edge of my seat for the last few minutes of the match. If you want to see the trophy they won, have a look at a fellow blipper's entry for yesterday.
I noticed that Mr. HCB didn’t have much in his sandwich box, and when I asked him why, he said that at lunchtime they were going to walk down to Gloucester Road and have a pasty for lunch on their last day! Just in case I don’t go out, I have put a Post-it Note in his lunchbox, (see my extra photograph) which will probably make them both smile and I hope they will both come home with “winning” smiles!
Lots of friends prayed for my knee at our church meeting last night and I used the heat pad when I got home; after a night and day of pain, I am pleased to report that I had a great night’s sleep and am not in pain this morning. Thank you for all your kind comments yesterday - you are a great bunch!

was more than play,
It was a worship
in the summer sun.”

P.S. Now that the cricket season has finished, I will move up in the “pecking order” to second - after the garden - but I should be first by about November!
