MacMillan Coffee Morning

Today is the 25th anniversary of the advent of the MacMillan Coffee Mornings.  As usual I was a waitress at the coffee morning in Patricia's house, a fantastic venue, and they work so hard to prepare the house, even taking off the internal doors to allow for easy access.  One of the rooms is the 'shop' and the cafe is in the living room, dining room and conservatory.  

It is great fun, but hard work too.   Standing is much harder than walking, and I take my hat off to anyone who does waitressing for a living; it's hard work!

Our local MSP, Linda Fabiani, presented Patricia with a 'long service' certificate from the Scottish Government; she has raised many thousands of pounds for this very worth while cause.  

Everyone has been affected by cancer in some way, be it themselves or someone in their family circle.
