Sunrise at Pousada de Estrella

Some 900 metres above the valley floor and standing at 1200 metres above sea level, the hotel was reached by a vertiginous series of hair pin bends. Later in the day onwards and upwards towards the summit (extra) at  2000 metres the highest point in mainland Portugal.
