Ear Ear!
Great day today - at last I am seeing patients again! As much as I have moaned about them in the past, I do miss seeing them. People are just so interesting! Especially when they're not blathering on about oncogenes and p21 and topoisomerase this and caspase that.. It's so dull!
50% of my PBL group are like that, and they're a bit, how do I put this nicely? A bit clueless... And indecisive.. It drives me mad as Chair. I guess it is only our second week but our sessions seem to be more about deliberating over how a question should be worded than what the science actually is.. Anyway, back to the GP surgery
Amazing place! So many services in one place and so many helpful happy people! I've never seen anywhere like it and I'm very excited to be spending all year with them :) our tutor Dr Hobbs is a total legend. Starting next week we are allowed to consult solo with our patients - yay!
Today's consultations were fairly standard things, various aches and pains in limbs and sensory organs etc. But still a really valuable experience. Lots of ears hence the title
Learned how to take a blood pressure reading (again) and take a history, next week - bloods!!
