I’m working my way through this delightful novel after having loved the unabridged audio version (21 hr. 40 min!). However, I kept missing bits because I was laughing, and many of the metaphors and allusions need to be savoured, not glossed over by the narrator. Even knowing how it ends up is not affecting my enjoyment of the book.
