Messing about in boats

This evening Allan, a friend of mine from work, invited me to go canoeing on the Thames at Walton. After the day's rain it did turn a but sunnier, but there was a strong headwind and after the recent rain the river was also running fast. So in the end the two man canoe we had turned out to be quite a handful to steer competently, as some rowers found out ! This photo shows some more accomplished rowers at work !
