Senanque Abbey, near Gordes, Vaucluse, Provence

We went to the pretty hilltop village of Gordes which is in the département of the Vaucluse in Provence - quite lovely.  Then on to Sénanque Abbey nearby which is a Cistercian abbey.  It is photographed extensively during lavender season and it looks very striking.  We plan to return then!
