Luna

BJ spotted this single Luna Moth clinging to a blade of grass in the hayfield tonight. I've seen many of them in the past couple of days, perhaps they just hatched?

I saw my first firefly tonight - turning off the lights to go to bed, one lonely firefly landed on the screen and lit up with it's signature lime green light. I watched him for a bit, flashing on and off as if speaking morse code. It has to be my favorite bug - and for those who know me... generally, I'm not a fan! These little guys amuse me.
