Weather cock

I'm a "football widow" today - W has gone off to Manchester with a friend.

I've done 2 loads of washing, spent some time clearing the garden of Fido's deposits, and then some weeding.  I'm feeling very self-satisfied!

Then I spent some more time researching cameras, and was stimulated to get out the DSLR.  This is my first blip with it.  Thank you everyone for your thoughts yesterday - I am still unsure what to do for the best.  Will I lose too much image quality going for the huge zoom factor on these 2 cameras?
