Swean Steyn

Swaensteyn is one of the oldest houses in Voorburg built as an Inn in 1512. Above the front door we can see a plaque with a swan , which formerly was considered an indication of prostitution .The current building consists of two houses (numbers 72 and 74) that were probably merged in 1632. Later it became a location for couples to marry, a milk bar, the local court and currently again as old Town Hall to marry.
