Make way

Finally collected all necessary documents and posted a big envelope to Emily today. But it won't be delivered until Monday, as I was told.

Happy atmosphere in the city as it was sunny and warm. People had great fun outing. No sign of celebrating the European Day of Languages except for the Open University NI branch. My idea of promoting tandem language exchange worked well at OU but faced restrictions at Queen's in terms of data security.

Ran out of rice so went to the Asian Market. Also wanted to buy some pieces of moon cakes but found none on the shelf. Tomorrow is the Mid-autumn Festival on the Chinese calendar and I will invite a friend for dinner. Disappointing if there's no symbolic image. Last year it came much earlier, no clash with the Induction week so I could have a time to organise a culture taster session.
