Momentous

For a moment, a giant seemed to stand in place of Cockenzie's twin chimneys. Then nothing but dust...though afterwards, the turbine hall was still unfelled. 

In the afternoon we headed down to celebrate Carl's 30th birthday, and it was brilliant to see everyone. 

As Mo pointed out, when she first met Carl, he was the same age as George is now. And that was on the occasion of my sister Gail's 30th birthday party.
