It turns out there is some kind of national volleyball tournament going on in Zihuatanejo this week. There are teams, both men's and women's, from all over Mexico in town to play on the concrete courts of our Unidad. The team from Guerrero brought a bunch of boisterous fans, who filled the courtside bleachers leaving the rest of us fans to stand. They had plenty to cheer about early in the match, but their team eventually lost to a taller team from Mexico City. It was fun to watch quality six a side games for a change, it was almost like being back in Southern California.
